Wyno Zwanenburg a fost președinte al Organizației Naționale a Crescătorilor de Porci din Olanda și unul din cei mai buni fermieri olandezi în acest segment. După ce a ocupat numeroase funcții importante în industria cărnii, acesta și-a deschis propria firmă de consultanță colaborând astăzi cu companii, antreprenori și organizații din agricultura internațională.
Viziunea sa despre sustenabilitatea în agricutură: ”Sustainable is a dynamic phrase and constantly chancing under influence of society and politics. Where governments used to set the standard and requirements of production today consumers and citizens do. More and more NGO”s and other pressure groups effectively use social media and internet to influence the public opinion about farming methods. That means that now a day’s modern farms should be aware of this public debate because, in the end, that will also affect the requirements of the retail market. Buyers of all kinds of agricultural products will have more volatile and changing demands. Furthermore the suppliers (farmers) must prove they are reliable, transparent and have traceable production”.
